Veterans Leadership Program

The Veterans Leadership Program is dedicated to serving military veterans by providing comprehensive assistance in areas such as housing, career development, wellness, and supportive services. Their mission is to help veterans reach their fullest potential as citizens of the nation they proudly served. Notably, they assist all veterans, irrespective of VA eligibility, discharge status, or length of service.

The organization originated during a challenging economic period marked by mill closures and disappearing manufacturing jobs. In response, Vietnam Veterans took the initiative to establish the Vietnam Veterans Leadership Program (VVLP), focusing on job assistance and supportive services for their peers affected by economic changes. Despite the closure of many offices during the Reagan Administration, only two VVLP offices remain operational, one of which is located in Pennsylvania, New York, and Ohio. The organization has successfully impacted over 8,300 veterans annually across 30 counties in these states.
