27 Years of Dedicated Service:
The Sgt. 1st Class Robert H. Yancey Sr. Stand Down of South Jersey proudly marked its 27th year of unwavering service on September 22, 2023. For nearly three decades, our mission has remained clear—to provide essential support and care to homeless veterans in South Jersey.
Comprehensive Support:
Our commitment goes beyond words. The Stand Down aims to address the multifaceted needs of our veterans, offering healthcare, mental health screening, substance abuse counseling, social services, legal assistance, religious counseling, clothing, and nutritious meals. This holistic approach is designed to uplift and empower those who have served our nation.
Impactful Results:
In the past year, the Stand Down successfully assisted 128 veterans, making a meaningful impact on their lives. Our mission is fueled by the belief that every veteran deserves access to essential services and care.
A Grateful Acknowledgment:
The success of the Stand Down wouldn't be possible without the incredible support of nearly 150 volunteers, dedicated medical personnel from the VA, the NJ Dept of Military and Veterans Affairs, and the National Guard members. The collaborative effort of our 28 service providers adds the manpower needed to execute this vital event.
Community Support:
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the individuals, organizations, and partners who generously provided monetary donations, food, and clothing to the Stand Down team. Your contributions play a pivotal role in ensuring that we can continue to provide invaluable services to our deserving veterans.
At Sgt. 1st Class Robert H. Yancey Sr. Stand Down of South Jersey, we are honored to stand together in service, compassion, and support for those who have selflessly served our nation.
